Cristina Gómez Simón

Senior Advisor R&D, ENTSO-E

    Cristina Gomez is an experienced research and development advisor, with background on electronic engineering, and a demonstrated experience on innovation in the power system industry.

    For more than 15 years she has been managing R&D projects in the field of storage, demand side response, digital substations, monitoring the network and asset maintenance within Red Electrica de Espana, the Spanish Transmission System Operator.

    Now she embraces the challenge of fostering the European innovation in the power system, from the position of R&D senior advisor at ENTSO-E (European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity), where she takes active part in the development of the long-term Research and Innovation plans. Digitalization, flexibility, storage and sector coupling are the topics she is responsible for.

    Currently, she is co-chair of ETIP-SNET WG2: Storage technologies and sector interfaces.
